Now days more than ever, marketing and sales personnel must think outside the box in creating marketing approaches that produce competitive sales results. This is because technology and society are in a state of rapid change and it’s easy to fall behind. I believe my background in architecture has helped me to think creatively outside the box and I’ve been able to help some companies in the Hamptons achieve better sales results with my innovative marketing approach. I’ve demonstrated how blogging, videos and face-to-face relationships can all be creatively and effectively used towards powerful sales results today.

Results

Marketing is pretty useless unless there are demonstrable results. One of the easiest methods of documenting online effectiveness is to look at Google search results. Last year, I approached Warren’s Nursery with a marketing plan that utilized these three marketing aspects and Warren’s was willing to give it a try. When I first approached them they told me they were desperate for new business. After two months, however, there was an influx of new work, and this was in the dead of winter. Part of my sales strategy was to utilize online content blog writing to attract interest and to help put Warren’s on the top of Google search lists for such subjects as “nurseries”, “specimen trees” and “Long Island native plants”. The company also wanted to start marketing a new landscape design service, and so I helped them to be first in searches for “Hamptons NY landscape design” as well. There are many facets and aspects of my sales and marketing approach. But one thing is certain and continuous: my passion for excellence and high-quality results. It’s good to be proactive, but it’s also important to take time to do things well and to keep improving.
