Navigating the Marketing Maze Today

Marketing can be like a maze.

The Hampton Court Maze: Marketing can be like a maze.

I like hearing about it when clients of mine land major contracts due to customers searching the net and finding their website, a site that we designed. In this case, the customer liked the look of the website and the content of the writing as well and ended up signing a large design-build contract. It’s a win-win situation for both the business and the client.

Finding new business clients in a challenging economy can be, well, a bit of a challenge. However, there are some proven, cost-effective ways to increase business, and one is developing a new, mobile-friendly and Google-search-friendly website. The profits of this one contract with my client will pay for our website design work and blogging a few times over. Investing in effective marketing is a proven path of business success in today’s more competitive market. In today’s Internet age, this is one he most important steps along a strategic path towards business success.

Marketing today reminds me of the Hampton Court Maze in England. If you don’t know the right path, you can spend a lot of time aimlessly wandering into unfruitful dead ends. But if you do know your goal and how to get there effectively, positive results are easier to achieve. Many have claimed the Hampton Court Maze is the most famous and most visited maze in the world. I would offer that even greater numbers of people in the world have been lost in a maze of confusion when it comes to effectively promoting their businesses.

When asked if it valuable and important to have a strong Internet presence today in the Hamptons, based on results, my clients say, “Yes.”
